How to buy NFTS on Opensea (Metamask guide)
Hey guys, so here is a comprehensive guide on how to buy your favourite NFT’s on Opensea. For this guide, we will obviously be using Metabrics.
Using Metamask:
We would recommend doing this on your desktop browser.
- The easiest way to create Metamask wallet would be via Opensea directly. (Our discord has further literature on Metamask if you require).
- Open up Opensea and press the Profile symbol in the top right corner. Shown below.
2. Click “My Profile” and then press “Get Metmask”. Download this extension.
You can download via: https://metamask.io/ if you desire.
3. Install Metamask and once you arrive at the following page, press Get Started.
4. Choose “Create a Wallet” and set up your password. Please DO NOT share or LOSE this!
5. Press Next when you see your secret phrase. Remember to store this!
6. Confirm your secret recovery phrase on the next window. You will have to likely arrange these correctly in the order shown on the previous page. This is all key to ensuring your safety of your wallet and everything you hold within it. Please DO NOT share.
7. Confirm and press “All done”. You should then see a congratulations screen saying you are now set up.
8. If you did this through Opensea, you should now be asked to select your wallet. However, if you haven’t do not worry. On Opensea you will see a wallet logo in the top right-hand corner. Press that to connect your Metamask.
9. You will now need to purchase Crypto to make your purchase. We will use ETH for this example. Thankfully due to recent upgrades you can do this via Opensea once your wallet is connected.
10. Click your wallet and press add funds. You can either deposit crypto directly into the wallet, from other exchanges. Or you can purchase ETH with your own card.
11. Should you choose to add ETH via the mask directly, you can open the Metamask browser extension as shown below and click “Buy”.

12. Please choose your preferred payment method for either option and once you have successfully made the crypto purchase it will appear on your Metamask balance, within your wallet
13. You are now ready to purchase some NFTs.
Purchasing a Metabric or any NFT with your wallet ready.
- Search for your favourite NFT Project and click buy now.
- You will then receive the following screens.
Check the circle at the bottom.
3. You will then meet the following screen. Now here you can see a polygon symbol (the diamond). To reduce your fees we have utilised polygon on ETH.
9. You may have to convert the ETH to Polygon on ETH, so press Convert, follow the next steps, and buy :) (Images shown below)
10. Please note the fees for ETH do not go to us as Metabrics owners. This sadly is part and parcel of the game of NFTs and gas fees will always exist. Hopefully in the next few years, ETH 2.0 will reduce these fees, but it is a necessary step that needs to be done that does not come to us.
11. Your NFT should now be in your wallet :)
